SMOMS is a North American X-Guide Center of Excellence.
X-Nav Guided surgery technology offers surgeons more dynamic 3D navigation that offers our surgeons all the necessary 3D digital information in real-time, offering the capability to immediately use their Cone Beam 3D scans to plan and place implants.
This important new technology makes implant placement more predictable and safe for patients. Using CBCT scans, virtual treatment planning, and specialized training, our oral surgeons can provide our patients with more exact guided implant placement.
Using a virtual 3-D or physical model, implant placements and other complementary procedures, such as osseous surgery, can be simulated to create an ideal surgical treatment plan. These virtual plans allow the surgeon to consider multiple aspects of the procedure, resulting in optimal aesthetics, function, and longevity for the patient’s final restoration. Access to a 3-D model also helps patients understand the procedure better and visualize the end result.
Once the planning stage is complete, specialized software can be used to create a surgical guide for use during implant placement. This guide directs the exact location, angle, and depth of the implant placement, increasing the procedure's accuracy, efficiency, safety, and predictability.
