“We live at the crossroads between surgeon and dentist, with a unique opportunity for the details of dentistry to shine through.” -Dr. Kris Cooper
Kristopher R. Cooper, DMD, MD
Born and raised in Winthrop with a dental hygienist for a mother, Dr. Kris Cooper dreamt of living and working in Maine as a dentist when he grew up. When he joined SMOMS, Dr. Cooper’s childhood dream came true–with the added reward of working as an oral surgeon.
Dr. Cooper lives in Scarborough with his wife, Kim, and their four children. Always busy with hiking, skiing, and camping in Maine with their young family, Dr. Cooper finds peace tending his home garden when he’s outside of the operating room.
With the SMOMS staff, Dr. Cooper is well-known for his good-hearted and thoughtful personality, and his passionate campaign for tomatoes to be recognized as fruits.
